So Far Away (But Not For Long)! Jessie Mueller and the Stars of Beautiful Celebrate Their Pre-Broadway Opening

It would be so fine to see their faces at our door, but for now the stars of the new musical Beautiful are celebrating their pre-Broadway run in San Francisco. The tuner, which explores the life and work of Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Carole King, opened on October 8 at the Curran Theatre. After their triumphant performance, Tony-nominated star Jessie Mueller (who plays King) and co-stars Anika Larsen, Jarrod Spector and Jake Epstein partied at the nearby Grand Cafe with some of the songwriters they play on stage, including Barry Mann (whom Spector portrays) and Cynthia Weil (played onstage by Larsen).
